Baby Girl Crump Info

Length 6.1 inches long
Weight 8 ounces

Overthing looks great. They adjusted my due date to October 11th. The medical issues that might cause me to deliver early are holding out so far, which is good news.

Over the next 4 weeks she will double in length and weight at least. I have a goal to gain a half pound a week. In 3 weeks I gained one pound, so I think I can do it.

I go back in 4 weeks for another check up and ultrasound. It was very cool to see her moving around in there, doing her thing.

Now to work on a name. We had a boys name all set to go, so of course we are having a girl :)

18 weeks and growing

Last week I went back to the doctor for a check up.  The baby appears to be growing perfectly and we got a date to find out if it is a boy or girl, May 15th. It seems like so far away but is really only 16 more days.  I am feeling pretty good, starting to have some swelling with lots of standing and walking.

This last weekend was very busy and I realized that I am pregnant for sure!  My dad is in town visiting.  On Friday, we went shopping and then to the doctor and more shopping.  Lots of outside and walking.  On Saturday, my dad and I met my mom at the Morel Mushroom festival in Mansfield.  We bought some mushrooms to fry (the were SO good), kettle corn, and a yummy lemon shake-up.  It was very warm and LOTS of walking.  We came home and after grilling out I was exhausted.  No nap and not much sitting for the day.  On Sunday, Chris and I went to the baby expo at the fairgrounds.  I enjoyed all of the exhibits while Chris played with his iphone =)  We found a great deal on a moses basket for baby Crumpacker.  The picture is below.  We are using a lovely bassinet from Aunt Chrissy for our bedroom, Chris’s childhood crib in the nursery, but I wanted something for downstairs.  The moses basket will work perfectly because I can put it in the island if I am working in the kitchen, on the dining room table if I am in there or in the living room.  I love that it is so portable and later on, the padding all comes out and we can use it as an awesome toy basket.  I also got a very cool washable diaper bag for short trips, etc

Things will be very busy for use coming up.  We are going to Valparaiso for Becky’s big wedding this weekend, May 8th my work spends the day at the Indy Car track and Saturday we will be there for qualifying.  Becky, Matt and Zach will be down for Matt’s sisters graduation that weekend and staying with us.  Then the weekend of the 15th we found out the sex of the baby, and I plan to have a garage sale to start making room for the boy/girl that is coming.  The next weekend is the Indy 500.  We were hoping to take a vacation in June, but haven’t planned anything yet.  We were going to have a relaxing weekend in Yellowstone park, however, my OB is worried about the elevation and stress on me and the baby when hiking.  We better plan something soon or we won’t be going anywhere.  I hope everyone is doing well and will post more baby info as it comes.  The next information will be big!

To the doctor for a check-up…

On March 10th, Tuesday, I went back to the doctor for a follow up on my original weight loss.  I lost an additional 4 pounds on top of the 6 pounds I had already lost.  My morning sickness is getting better and we increased the amount of calories that I am supposed to take in from 1800 to 2300+.  This is hard considering I can only eat about 5 ounces of food at once, but I will do my best!  The babies heartbeat was good, 170 beats per minute….I love hearing that sound!  I will go back in 2 weeks for another weight check and an ultrasound to make sure our little jelly bean is growing as he or she should.

This weekend we are going to Valpo for Becky’s bridal shower and Chris’s birthday dinner.  I am hoping my morning sickness will stay away and let me enjoy our visit with the family.

Woosh Woosh Woosh!

On February 23rd we went to the doctor for our first check up and baby photo shoot.  We got a revised due date of October 8th.  The baby measures spot on and everything looks great.  We got to see the little heart beating away and hear it.  It was SO amazing!  The little woosh woosh woosh just melts your heart.  My blood work all looks good and I got medicine for my all day sickness.  It seems to be helping some, though I don’t take it as much as I could.  Even though they say it is safe, I am still worried about the potential risks.  I have lost about 6 pounds in 3 weeks so I have to pick up the eating, and the medicine will help.  I go back to the OB in 2 weeks for a weight recheck.  Because my pregnancy is labeled high risk, I will see the doctor every 2-4 weeks and have an ultrasound every 4 weeks to ensure our little jelly bean is growing as he or she should.  Hopefully in the end of April we will know the babies sex!  I can’t wait, I want to start painting/shopping/planning now.  Below is our ultrasound picture.  Hope everyone is doing well.

  • We’re having a baby!

It’s official.  Chris and I are having a baby.  We found out 2 weeks ago and have been working to tell family and friends.  Our initial due date is September 30th which is our wedding anniversary!  I am sure that date will change but how exciting.  Things are going well so far, I am working to figure out how to get all this eating in, vitamin taking, and extra sleeping while still working and going to school.  I am still going to school full time for now.

I will post lots of details here after our first ultrasound on February 23rd.  I did buy BabyCrumps first outfit this weekend.  Picture is posted below.  It made me cry to buy it, darn emotions anyways!

    Finally an Update

Wow, it has been a while since I updated this website. You will notice that things look a little different. We changed from hosting our own website to using Go Daddy. We still need to make some appearance changes here but things should run a lot smoother and FASTER!

Things have been pretty hectic around here with the holidays and school and work.

In October we went up to Valparaiso to visit the family and celebrate Zachary’s 1st birthday, October 25th. I made 3 cakes for his big family party. One cake was a very yummy chocolate explosion cake and one was a traditional white cake with butter cream icing that was very cute. Then there was a smash cake just for Zach to his smoosh his little hands and face into. He had a lot of fun playing with it. It was a very fun party and a great way to celebrate the fun we have had with Zach over the past year.

On October 24th Matt (Zach’s Dad) asked Becky to marry him. Becky has been very quick on the planning! May 2nd, 2009 is the date and I (Robin) will be Becky’s Matron of Honor. I am very honored to have been asked and can’t wait to go buy my dress. Chris is going to do the wedding photography, so he got to buy a new camera to replace to one flooded in the car.

In November we purchased a car to replace my Saab. We bought a 2007 Subaru Outback Wagon. It is very nice, black with black leather interior and all the gadgets. Though it is a station wagon (grocery go getter) it is very sporty, and safe, and I love it.

For Thanksgiving we went to Chris’s parents in Valparaiso . We enjoyed a group cooked dinner (Thanks for Becky, Debbie, Honey Baked Ham Company, and Me). We then enjoyed some fun Black Friday shopping, Becky, Chris and I. The stores were pretty busy but most of the lines weren’t terrible, except Kohl’s! Dean (Chris’s Dad) bought a new LCD TV so Chris helped him install it and then we all watched some TV together. It was a good holiday and I definitely enjoyed my 5 days off of work.

In December I finished up another semester of school and Chris finished up the class he was taking. We went to see Lion King the Musical from Broadway Across America at the Murat Theatre. This was a late Anniversary celebration for us. We both really enjoyed it. Chris has been to shows like this before, but I had not. I loved the characters, the music, the colors, it was amazing.

We had family Christmas at Becky and Matt’s on Christmas Eve. We had restored an old antique wooden children’s rocking chair and painted it John Deere Green for Zach. It was a big hit and it only took him 2 minutes to figure out climbing on it was more fun then sitting in it! That I know of, he hasn’t ended up with any major injuries yet.

We then stayed Christmas Eve night there so we could wake up the next morning and see Zach unwrap his presents. He got a Kota the Triceratops Dinosaur. He was apprehensive at first and then warmed up to it when Aunt Robin showed him the moves it could do and that it makes a pretty good rocking horse motion. The dinosaur is bigger then him though, so I think it might be more fun as he grows.

We then spent Christmas weekend visiting with family and enjoying the Grandma’s. We also tried our hand at becoming new dog parents. We purchased a new Beagle Puppy and named him Jack. Unfortunately, after having him here for a for a few days, it was evident that things were not going to work out. Buddy, our dachshund, was physically ill from the puppy being here. After a lot of tears we decided to return him to the very nice breeder we got him from. I understand he has a nice new home, but we had a good time and got lots of adorable pictures of him

We spent New Years Eve at home together, and were in bed before the ball dropped. Then on January 9th I turned 26 years old. We went to Kona Grill, an amazing restaurant in Carmel, with Paul and Renee. I did a little shopping at Eddie Bauer and then we came home to have a nice bottle of wine. It was a great birthday and I am very glad Paul and Renee introduced us to Kona Grill, we will have to go back soon.
Things have been hectic around here since my birthday. I am taking 19 credit hours this semester and I am trying to graduate with my degree in May. Chris and I have been spending a lot of time using our membership at Gold’s Gym and have really enjoyed the Yoga and Spinning classes along with all of the equipment. We are working out 3 to 6 days a week depending on things, but have been doing pretty well. We both want to get some pictures taken of us, so hopefully I will have some new pictures to post here soon.
My new years resolution is to post here weekly with what is going on with us. I hope this finds everyone in good spirits and staying warm, we are so ready for Spring here!
    Love,
    Robin

  • On September 30th Chris and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary. We went to dinner at the restaurant where we had our first date and Chris asked me to marry him, had a bottle of wine from our honeymoon, some tasty cheesecake, and enjoyed a relaxing evening at home together. It was the perfect way to celebrate the perfect year. We have had our ups and downs (downs mostly related to mother nature). We had the tree fall on the deck last fall, and now the Saab was flooded by record rain fall. You can read all about the flood and see pictures at http://www.chriscrumpacker.com. Chris and I both underwent major life altering surgery this year, watched our beautiful nephew Zach grow to be almost a whole year old, and finally taught the puppy dog to walk down the stairs on his own! We have lost an entire person (over 200 pounds between us), went to Denver and San Francisco, took up exercising, and finally bought a Dyson vacuum cleaner! We have a lot of plans for the next year of marriage, maybe to include the pitter patter of little feet (besides our 3 cats and dog).

Chris and I recently had a traumatic but wonderful weekend in Valpo for our friends Paul and Renee’s wedding. They were both friends with Chris and he introduced the 2 of them. Chris was a groomsman in their wedding. His tux, and my dress, was in the trunk of my flooded car, but luckily he was able to get a completely new tux and Chris’s mom managed to get my dress clean.

Things have been going great around here. Today we went and got Chris some new pants since all of his are about 10 sizes too big and a new winter coat. We are planning for an upcoming Halloween Party at our house on the 18th and a trip back to Valpo for Zachs first birthday on the 25th. I am glad the cooler weather is here because it has allowed us to spend some time in the yard trimming the trees and bushes and sprucing things up, and to use our fire pit. Work is going good for both Chris and I and school is as stressful as always. Whatever made me decide to take 18 credit hours this semester, I have NO idea! I am back to doing homework now. I hope everyone is doing well.

  • It has been 5 months since my surgery and I am finally under 200 lbs!  I weighed in at 198 pounds this morning.  I have not weight below 200 pounds since te 7th grade so it is pretty exciting!

Chris and I just took a week long vacation to Colorado to see the Rockies and visit my dad.  We had a great time and enjoyed our time out of town together.  We also got several new pictures taken of us together.  I have posted some of them here.  As for how I am doing, I have been feeling pretty good.  I am able to eat most foods in moderation which is nice, and now I can start eating whole wheat pasta if I wish.  I was craving some good vegetable soup so I made a batch of my mom’s veggie soup.  It made tons so I could freeze if for lunches and it tastes good, but it certainly is not my moms, even though I followed her recipe! I have been doing lots of push ups and sit up and using our elliptical.  It has been too hot lately so I have not been riding my bike as much lately.  The temperature is perfect for a ride outside right now, but I am home alone.  Chris is in Wisconsin attending a friends bachelor party.  Chris is doing well also.  He has lost over a hundred pounds since surgery and is feeling great.  Our 1 year wedding anniversary is quickly approaching and we are looking forward to some of our wedding cake :)  I will write more soon, I promise!
